Before and during the Second World War, Archie Tinkler had a butchers shop in Sedgefield; the shop was on the site where the CO-OP store now stands. In 1943 Archie was a member of the Home Guard. He was accidentally shot and died from the injury he received.
I am writing on behalf of Archie's daughter, enquiring for any memorabilia, photographs, or memories which could be relayed to her. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
On a similar quest; does anyone know of a Joyce Race, around 55 years old, from Sedgefield, Joyce was a school pal of Christine Richardson, daughter of the Rev John Richardson who was vicar and rector of the parishes of Bishopton and Great Stainton in the late 1950's and early 1960's.
Christine has expressed a wish to be re united with her old school pal if at all possible. Again, any information would be greatly appreciated.
Mrs E Suthern
Is there anybody still living around the Sedgefield, Fishburn, Trimdon or Stillington areas who went to Sedgefield Comprehensive School between 1974 and 1979.
